Uncut Stones

"If ever (and rarely) a band is found that can be so concise, clear, poetic, and potent that the spirit itself is moved; attention need be demanded. Uncut Stones display a musical maturity, respect, talent level, and professionalism that is rarely found and every available room needs to be made aware." - Joe Benedict, Gorilla Music Production/Management

About The Band:

Uncut Stones is a WNY/Buffalo area Christian band with progressive rock influences. Their sound is similar to bands like Gungor and Lincoln Brewster where they combine rich vocal melodies with electric guitar anthems. It is the high energy instrumentation of the band and their stellar lead vocalist that set them apart. From influences of gospel to progressive rock and even a touch of Celtic music, Uncut Stones continues to push the boundaries of what a band can become. By blending multiple cultures of music into one sound, they have given us an entertaining musical experience. Their diverse style and stage presence has resulted in them performing in some of Buffalo's most popular night clubs.

Their first full length album has been released, and is loaded full of songs that will have you hitting the repeat button over and over again. Just a few of the musicians on the album are Will McFarlane, Aimee Reid-Sych, and Nathan Salter.

The biggest guest on the album by far is Will McFarlane. He is a blues guitar legend and has shared the stage with just about every great blues player there is like: B.B.King and Buddy Guy among many others. Will McFarlane gives us some beautiful guitar work on the song "Lay My Burden Down", which is a cover song of one of Will's songs from the album "Axe To The Root".

It's Time was their first studio release as an EP and We Will Rise Up is their complete full album.

Like with any great powerhouse you need a strong foundation. AKA the Aaron's. With Aaron Blackmon on drums and Aaron Greenwald on bass you have a rhythm section of all rhythm sections. On drums he is known as the human metronome and when Aaron (Greenwald) attacks the stage with his seven stringed bass (AKA The Stump), it makes you wonder if he started out as a guitarist first. Uncut Stones does not stop there. They top the entire band off with the husband and wife team of Dan and Melanie Browning. Dan's guitar style of blues and classic rock give the band it's heart and soul. Perhaps that is why people have called him "Holy Hendrix" on guitar. Last but not least is the queen jewel of the band Melanie Browning, who is known to her friends as Mel. She brings a new and refreshing voice to the Christian music world with her Janice Joplin style vocals that are both soaring and angelic.
